Overview
Join our vibrant hospitality team as a Busser/Food Runner, where your energy and enthusiasm will help create memorable dining experiences for our guests. In this dynamic role, you will support the front-of-house operations by ensuring the cleanliness of dining areas, efficiently delivering food and beverages, and assisting with guest needs. Responsibilities
- Clear and reset tables promptly to maintain a clean and inviting dining atmosphere
- Assist servers by delivering food and beverages swiftly and accurately using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
- Support kitchen staff with basic food handling, food preparation, and heavy lifting using safe lifting practices
- Maintain cleanliness in dining areas, including sweeping, wiping down surfaces, and disposing of trash efficiently
- Ensure proper manual handling techniques when moving supplies or equipment to prevent injury
- Provide in-person customer service by greeting guests, answering questions, and addressing their needs with professionalism and warmth
- Support banquet events or special functions by bussing tables and assisting with guest services as needed
Skills
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments with knowledge of food running and serving procedures
- Strong communication skills to coordinate effectively with team members and interact positively with guests
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for order accuracy and efficient service
- Knowledge of food safety standards, proper food handling, and safe lifting practices for heavy items
- Experience with kitchen tasks like basic food preparation or culinary support is a plus
- Ability to perform physical tasks including standing for extended periods, lifting heavy objects safely, and manual handling of supplies
- Previous hotel or banquet experience is advantageous for supporting large events or group dining settings
