Position Overview
CAM Edu is seeking enthusiastic and dependable Afterschool Instructors to lead Tech & STEAM and Academic enrichment programs for K–8 students. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy working with children and are passionate about education, technology, and student development.
Responsibilities
- Lead engaging Tech, STEAM, and Academic activities for students.
- Teach lessons in coding, robotics, engineering, science, math, and other enrichment subjects.
- Create a positive, safe, and inclusive learning environment.
- Manage student behavior and classroom activities effectively.
- Prepare lesson materials and classroom technology before each session.
- Supervise students and ensure their safety at all times.
- Maintain classroom organization and basic cleanliness.
- Communicate professionally with school staff, students, parents, and CAM Edu team members.
- Assist with attendance tracking and program documentation.
- Support daily program operations and student supervision.
Qualifications
- Experience working with children in educational, camp, tutoring, or afterschool settings preferred.
- Background in Education, STEM, Computer Science, Engineering, Child Development, or related fields is a plus.
- Strong communication and classroom management skills.
- Reliable, punctual, and professional.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Comfortable teaching or assisting with technology and academic subjects.
- Ability to pass a background check and fingerprint clearance if required.
- 1 to 2 years experience working with children.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with coding platforms such as Scratch, Python, JavaScript, or similar.
- Robotics experience (LEGO Robotics, VEX, etc.).
- Academic tutoring experience in math, science, reading, or writing.
- Knowledge of STEAM education and project-based learning.
- First Aid and CPR Certification is a plus.
- Bilingual skills are a plus.
