Desired Qualifications:
- Current registration as a Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with appropriate state licensure
- Experience in pediatric and neonatal respiratory care strongly preferred
- Proficiency with a range of respiratory equipment and therapies, including mechanical ventilation, NPPV, and high-flow nasal cannula
- Familiarity with clinical practice guidelines for asthma, cystic fibrosis, RDS, and BPD
- Ability to interpret blood gas samples and perform advanced monitoring
- Strong communication and teaching skills for patient and family education
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer medicated aerosol therapy using a variety of delivery methods
- Perform airway clearance and management: suctioning, tracheostomy care, mechanical ventilation oversight
- Assist in high-risk deliveries and facilitate surfactant administration following NRP protocols
- Conduct blood gas sampling, interpretation, and analysis
- Carry out humidity, oxygen, and special gas therapies
- Support both internal and external patient transport, including use of portable ventilators and rapid response protocols
- Perform cleaning and maintenance of all respiratory equipment
