## Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Sped Teacher to join our team now through the end of the school year 2026-27. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children with diverse learning needs and creating inclusive educational environments.
Full time, Grades 2nd and 5th
Monday to Friday
Location- Orange, CA
## Duties
Works with those pupils who are identified by the IEP team and have a written individualized education program. The Resource Specialist Teacher provides direct services to these individuals on a one-to-one or group basis.
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs
- Provide direct instruction using evidence-based practices to support students' academic, social, and emotional growth
- Collaborate with parents, school staff, and external professionals to ensure comprehensive support for students
- Utilize behavior management techniques to create a positive and supportive classroom environment
- Incorporate speech therapy, early intervention strategies, and behavioral health interventions as needed
- Adapt curriculum materials to meet the unique learning styles of students with disabilities
## Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field; Master's degree preferred
- CA State certification in Special Education
- Experience working with children in a special education setting
- Strong understanding of curriculum development for diverse learners
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with stakeholders
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $55.00 - $60.00 per hour
