Exxelia is seeking a detail-oriented Accountant to join our on-site team in a key role that balances core accounting tasks with manufacturing operations. Key Responsibilities:
- Reconciliations: Perform daily and month-end reconciliations for bank accounts, credit cards, and key balance sheet accounts to ensure general ledger accuracy.
- Inventory & Cost Control: Monitor on-site inventory transactions, track work-in-progress (WIP) and finished goods, and participate in physical inventory counts and cycle counting programs.
- Payment Processing: Process accounts payable vouchers, verify vendor invoices against receiving documents, and prepare weekly payment runs (ACH, wires, checks).
- Commission Tracking: Maintain and calculate routine sales commission schedules, verifying sales data against commission structures for accurate payouts.
- Month-End Support: Prepare and post standard journal entries, variance analyses, and supporting schedules to assist with a timely month-end close.
- Audit & Compliance Support: Gather and organize backup documentation, receipts, and invoices for internal controls, tax filings, and external audit requests.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Coordinate directly with production, shipping/receiving, and sales teams on-site to resolve inventory discrepancies or invoice issues.
Education & Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
- 3+ years of relevant accounting experience, with a strong background in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong experience ERP is required, Sage x3 experience preferred.
- Expert-level Excel skills; must be proficient in manipulating high volumes of data and creating complex formulas.
- Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with employees at all levels.
- CPA license preferred.
