Join our dynamic team as a Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Installer Technician, where you'll play a vital role in delivering comfort and efficiency to our clients’ properties. Responsibilities
- Install new HVAC systems including ductwork, air handlers, condensers, boilers, refrigeration units, and building automation systems according to schematics and design specifications
- Perform routine maintenance on HVAC equipment to ensure efficient operation and longevity
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and refrigeration issues using hand tools, ohmmeters, and diagnostic software
- Repair or replace faulty components such as compressors, fans, thermostats, electrical wiring, and control panels
- Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals to accurately install or service complex HVAC systems
- Conduct system testing and calibration to verify proper operation following installation or repair
- Provide exceptional customer service by explaining system functions and maintenance tips clearly to clients
Requirements
- Proven construction experience with HVAC system installation or related mechanical work
- Service technician experience with HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning/ Refrigeration) systems preferred
- Strong knowledge of schematics, HVAC design principles, electrical diagnostics, plumbing connections, and mechanical systems repair
- Familiarity with building automation systems and electrical systems relevant to HVAC applications
- Ability to troubleshoot equipment issues efficiently using hand tools and diagnostic instruments such as ohmmeters
- Mechanical knowledge of boilers, ammonia refrigeration systems, air conditioning units, and property maintenance practices
- Valid EPA certification for refrigerant handling; additional certifications in HVAC/R are advantageous
- Excellent problem-solving skills combined with a customer-focused attitude
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in various field service environments
