Job Summary
Join our dynamic team as a Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Technician, where you'll be at the forefront of maintaining and repairing essential climate control systems across commercial and residential properties. Duties
- Diagnose and repair HVAC systems, including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration, and ventilation equipment using schematics and technical manuals.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as filter replacements, system calibrations, and component inspections to prevent future failures.
- Install new HVAC equipment in accordance with design specifications and building codes, utilizing skills in HVAC design and construction principles.
- Troubleshoot electrical issues with tools like ohmmeters, ensuring safe and effective repairs for refrigeration, appliance systems, and mechanical components.
- Conduct plumbing work related to HVAC systems when necessary, including pipe fittings and refrigerant line repairs or replacements.
- Maintain detailed service records, schematics updates, and maintenance logs to ensure compliance with safety standards and facilitate future troubleshooting.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a service technician specializing in HVAC systems; construction experience is highly valued.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in refrigeration, plumbing, boiler operation, and appliance repair.
- Familiarity with HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning/Refrigeration) systems including ammonia refrigeration is preferred.
- Ability to read schematics accurately and interpret technical diagrams for system troubleshooting or installation.
- Skilled in using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters and field service equipment to identify issues efficiently.
- Experience with property maintenance tasks related to HVAC systems; mechanic experience is a plus.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
