Do you take pride in keeping facilities safe, functional, and guest-ready? SureStay Plus by Best Western in Litchfield, Minnesota is seeking a dependable and skilled Hotel Maintenance Technician to join our team.
As a key member of our hotel team, you will play an important role in ensuring our guests enjoy a clean, comfortable, and well-maintained property. This position works closely with the General Manager and housekeeping staff to maintain guest rooms, public spaces, and hotel equipment to Best Western standards.
Primary Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs in guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests from guests and hotel staff
- Troubleshoot and repair HVAC systems, plumbing fixtures, electrical components, appliances, and hotel equipment
- Conduct preventive maintenance inspections throughout the property
- Repair and maintain guest room furnishings, doors, locks, lighting, televisions, and other amenities
- Assist with room inspections and ensure guest rooms are fully operational and ready for occupancy
- Maintain the pool, hot tub, and related equipment in accordance with health and safety standards
- Complete painting, drywall repair, carpentry, and general upkeep projects as needed
- Maintain hotel grounds, parking lots, sidewalks, and exterior appearance
- Monitor inventory of maintenance supplies and communicate ordering needs to management
- Ensure all work is completed safely and in compliance with company policies and local regulations
- Participate in an on-call rotation for after-hours maintenance emergencies
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Previous hotel maintenance experience preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in building maintenance, facilities maintenance, or related field
- Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, appliance repair, and general carpentry
- Ability to diagnose and resolve maintenance issues independently
- Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation
- Ability to pass a background check

Physical Requirements
This position requires frequent standing, walking, bending, climbing ladders, and lifting up to 50 pounds. Work is performed both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions. Candidates must be comfortable using maintenance tools and equipment and responding to emergency repair situations when necessary.
