Job Overview
Our company is looking for a highly motivated Compliance Administrative Assistant to help ensure that our organization operates in accordance with applicable state and federal statutes and regulations, as well as established internal policies and guidelines. As the Compliance Administrative Assistant, you will report to our VP, Compliance & Technology Officer and support them daily by performing various administrative compliance-related tasks. You will contribute to drafting and improving internal compliance policies and procedures, reviewing existing company practices, and identifying compliance risks throughout the organization. You will stay updated on regulatory changes and ensure all team members are aware of the latest compliance standards. Our ideal candidate has over 2 years of experience working as a Compliance Administrative Assistant or in a similar role. An understanding of collections and vehicle repossession industry regulations and standards is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Maintain existing company procedures to ensure compliance with internal company policies and the requirements of regulatory agencies
- Perform compliance-related administrative tasks, such as performing data entry, filing legal paperwork, preparing compliance audit reports, and handling phone and email correspondence
- Make suggestions regarding updates to internal procedures to drive greater levels of compliance
- Assist the VP, Compliance & Technology Officer in maintaining an effective Compliance Program.
- Provide compliance guidance to other staff members.
- Work closely with the supervisors to identify and investigate compliance issues and risks and suggest ways to prevent or resolve them.
- Maintain risk and compliance documentation
- Prepare compliance reports
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience as a Compliance Administrator Assistant or in a similar role.
- Knowledge of the regulatory requirements and practices in the repossession/collections or fiancé industry.
- Experience working with online risk assessment applications such as Archer.
- Attention to detail and great organizational and analytical skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
