Duties
- Operate commercial dishwashing equipment to thoroughly clean dishes, cookware, utensils, and kitchen tools while adhering to food safety sanitizing procedures
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks when needed, supporting the kitchen team in maintaining smooth operations
- Follow proper manual handling techniques for heavy lifting of large pots, trays, and bulk supplies to prevent injury
- Maintain high standards of sanitation by regularly cleaning dishwashing stations, sinks, and surrounding areas in accordance with kitchen health and safety standards
- Support food handling procedures by ensuring all items are properly stored after cleaning and that the kitchen remains organized
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including dishwashers, sinks, and other related tools
Requirements
- Prior experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred; familiarity with food safety management practices is a plus
- Knowledge of sanitation protocols and food safety procedures is essential for maintaining hygiene standards
