Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Marine Technician to join our team, responsible for the maintenance and repair of marine vessels. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical background, with experience in service technician roles and a solid understanding of electrical systems. This position requires hands-on work with various tools and equipment, ensuring that all marine units operate efficiently and safely.
Duties
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on marine vessels, including engines, electrical systems, and mechanical components.
- Utilize schematics to troubleshoot and diagnose issues effectively.
- Conduct assembly and fabrication tasks as required for repairs or modifications.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments such as calipers and ohmmeters to ensure accuracy in repairs.
- Execute welding and soldering tasks to repair or fabricate components.
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding their vessel's condition and necessary repairs.
- Handle heavy lifting as needed during maintenance procedures.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a service technician or mechanic in the marine industry.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to perform vehicle maintenance tasks.
- Familiarity with rigging techniques and heavy equipment operation is advantageous.
- Experience in sales is a plus, as it may involve customer interactions regarding services offered.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics for troubleshooting purposes.
- Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments.
- Military experience is welcomed but not required; however, a strong work ethic is essential.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $40.00 per hour
