Responsibilities
- Engage with guests in a friendly, energetic manner to enhance their overall experience and encourage repeat visits.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, adhering to food safety and sanitation regulations at all times.
- Process cash transactions accurately using POS systems ; handle cash, credit cards, and other forms of payment efficiently.
- Manage bar inventory by tracking stock levels, placing orders when necessary, and minimizing waste through proper handling.
- Collaborate with restaurant staff to ensure seamless service during busy hours and special events like banquets or catering functions.
Requirements
- Proven experience in bartending or food service roles within the hospitality industry; fine dining or banquet experience is highly desirable.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests positively and handle challenging situations gracefully.
- Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures.
- Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math calculations, and beverage portioning.
- Valid certifications in responsible alcohol service (if applicable) and food safety are preferred.
