Freight Forwarding Operations Specialist
BTX Global Logistics and AM Logistics Inc. in Indianapolis, IN, is seeking an experienced Dispatcher and Operations Specialist in the Freight Forwarding/3PL industry. The ideal candidate will be well versed in freight forwarding, air and ground cartage operations, residential delivery operations, customer service and communications.

Responsibilities
As a Dispatcher, you will have the following responsibilities:
· Prioritize, schedule and dispatch freight for pick-up, delivery and recoveries via company drivers and Independent Contractors.
· Interact with customers and other vendors to rate and quote shipments via Air, expedited LTL (ex. Forward Air, Midwest Express, Accelerated) and direct expedited trucks and vans.
· Communicate with local company drivers and independent contractors as needed to ensure shipment handling and delivery practices meet customer expectations.
· Work alongside operations team to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction, operational efficiency and the ability to drive Key Performance indicators
· Monitor freight movement using various internal and external applications.
· Ensure drivers are following policies as it relates to OS&D reports, along with continual enhancements with technology such as mobile applications.
· Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Requirements
· 3-5 years minimum experience preferred
· Effective communication skills
· Excellent organizational skills
· Ability to prioritize, multitask and manage time effectively
· Ability to routinely meet deadlines
· Attention to detail and accuracy
· Continual desire to learn and expand industry knowledge
· High level of resourcefulness and initiative
. Min of 45 - 50 Hours per week with rotating weekend coverage. 0800-1730 M-F
· Knowledge of warehouse operations

Pay: $45,000.00 - $48,000.00 per year
