About the Role
As a Safety and Environmental Lead, you will spearhead the development and execution of comprehensive health, safety, and environmental strategies to ensure a secure and compliant workplace. You will play a pivotal role in fostering a culture of safety excellence by identifying operational risks and implementing proactive solutions that protect our workforce and environment.
Responsibilities-
Design and manage robust EHS programs that align with OSHA, EPA, and regional regulatory requirements.

Lead thorough investigations into workplace incidents and near-misses, ensuring effective corrective actions are executed to prevent recurrence.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate physical and chemical hazards across all operational areas.

Facilitate safety committee meetings and drive employee engagement through targeted training and educational initiatives.

Oversee emergency preparedness planning, including the coordination of drills and the management of response teams for medical or environmental events.

Analyze safety data to provide actionable insights and business cases for continuous improvement projects.

Support the administration of workers' compensation claims to ensure timely resolution and employee support.

Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Science, or a related field.

Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in an industrial EHS capacity.

Comprehensive understanding of federal and state environmental and safety compliance standards.

Proven ability to manage complex projects and prioritize tasks under tight deadlines.

Strong technical proficiency in data analysis and reporting software.

Professional certifications such as Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH).

Direct experience managing air permitting and hazardous material reporting.

Demonstrated success in leading organizational safety culture transformations.
