Overview
Here at WAKABA (Izakaya & Sushi), we are looking for a part time/full time Line Cook to join our team for BOTH LUNCH and DINNER SERVICE.
Our soon to be business hours will be :
- Monday to Sunday Lunch : 11:30am to 2:30pm
- Sunday to Thursday Dinner : 5:00pm to 9:30pm
- Friday and Saturday Dinner : 5:00pm to 10:00pm
Shifts will start at 10:00am for lunch and at 4:30pm for dinner service.
This position is a tipped position.
What you’ll do
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards, ensuring consistency and quality.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, adhering to food safety regulations at all times.
- Execute food preparation tasks efficiently, including chopping, slicing, and marinating ingredients.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed to ensure smooth operations.
- Participate in ongoing training and development opportunities to enhance culinary skills and knowledge.

Qualifications
- Experience in Japanese Cuisine is a must. (minimum 2 years)
- Experience as a Line Cook is a must. (minimum 2 years)
- Mid to advance level of knife skills, deep frying and pan frying, sautéing, grilling, etc.
- Previous restaurant experience that highlights your ability to work under pressure.
