Responsibilities
- Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system to process customer transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers, answering questions, and addressing concerns.
- Assist in stocking shelves and maintaining product displays to ensure a well-organized shopping environment.
- Engage in upselling techniques to promote additional products and enhance the shopping experience.
- Conduct product demonstrations as needed to inform customers about new or featured items.
- Supervise junior staff during peak hours to ensure smooth operations at the checkout area.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the checkout area, including handling cash drawers responsibly.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a grocery store or retail environment is preferred.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse clientele.
- Bilingual abilities are a plus, enhancing communication with a broader range of customers.
