Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and energetic Assistant Teacher/Floater to join our vibrant early childhood education team. Duties
- Support lead teachers in implementing engaging curriculum activities tailored to children's developmental needs
- Supervise children during classroom activities, outdoor play, meals, and nap times to ensure safety and positive behavior
- Assist with child supervision during transitions and special events, maintaining a calm and organized environment
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding daily activities, progress, and any concerns to build strong relationships
- Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming classroom environment by following health and safety protocols, including pediatric first aid procedures
- Support individualized learning plans for children with special needs or disabilities by applying child development instruction techniques
- Collaborate with team members to manage classroom behavior through positive reinforcement and behavior management strategies
Qualifications
- Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or early childhood education settings is highly preferred
- Knowledge of childhood development principles, early childhood education best practices, and classroom management techniques
- Certification in first aid and CPR (including pediatric first aid) is required; ongoing training is encouraged
- Experience working with children with disabilities or special education needs is a plus
- Strong communication skills for parent interaction and team collaboration
- Ability to handle child supervision responsibly while demonstrating patience and enthusiasm
- Familiarity with mandated reporting laws related to child safety and well-being
