Summary
As a Direct Care Worker at Christian Home Healthcare, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with daily living activities and enhancing their quality of life. This position is essential in fulfilling our mission of compassionate care and community impact.
Responsibilities
- Assist consumers with daily living activities
- Personal Care (bathing, grooming, toileting)
- Light housekeeping
- Meal prep and clean up
- Medication reminders
- Transfers / Assistance walking
- Provide companionship and emotional support to consumers.
- Promote positive interactions with consumers within the community.
- Reporting changes in consumer conditions to appropriate staff.
- Must follow the plan of care to provide safe and competent care to the consumers.
Requirements
- Previous experience in home care or direct care roles is preferred.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients and team members.
- Ability to work compassionately with individuals with disabilities.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new caregiving techniques/updated training.
