The Westwood School seeks a Primary (Ages 3-5) Summer/ After-School Program Teacher to join our school. Westwood is located in the Farmers Branch area and Dallas. We take pride in our close-knit culture which values community, character and excellence in the Montessori education of toddlers through high school seniors. This position is responsible for the Summer Program, and, beginning in August, 2026, the After- School Program. .
Responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to:
- Be willing to co-lead with other Primary teachers and work with the After-School team under the supervision of the After-School Director
- Be prepared to supervise at different age levels and in different classrooms on all designated childcare days.
- Attend and participate in school functions that relate to position or teaching level and attend Westwood Community Association functions in support of the school community
- Be available to assist with occasional support duties
Qualifications
- Associate’s Degree achieved or in progress
- Minimum of 1 year teaching experience, preferably in Montessori environment
- Excellent organizational skills
- Good interpersonal skills with students, parents and other staff
Compensation
Commensurate with experience
