Position Overview:
The Warehouse Forklift Operator / Dispatcher is responsible for the safe handling of materials and the coordination of outbound shipments to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment. This role combines warehouse operations with dispatch coordination, supporting efficient loading, staging, and delivery execution in alignment with company standards and customer expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
Warehouse Operations & Material Handling
· Operate forklifts equipment to load, unload, and transport products within the warehouse and yard
· Move finished goods from production areas to designated staging locations
· Ensure proper stacking, storage, and handling to prevent product damage
· Perform daily equipment inspections and report any maintenance or safety concerns
· Maintain organized and accurate inventory locations
Dispatch & Shipping Coordination
· Verify shipping documentation, including Bills of Lading (BOL), packing lists, and delivery paperwork
· Ensure proper load configuration, weight distribution, and securement for outbound shipments
Order Fulfillment & Inventory Control
· Pick, stage, and verify orders using warehouse management systems (WMS) and/or ERP systems
· Confirm item accuracy, quantities, and customer order requirements prior to shipment
· Maintain staging areas organized by route, carrier, and priority
· Assist with cycle counts and physical inventory processes
· Identify and report discrepancies, including shortages, damages, or mis-picks
Safety & Compliance
· Follow all company safety policies and OSHA regulations
· Use required personal protective equipment (PPE)
· Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work environment
· Adhere to load securement and transportation safety standards
· Report accidents, incidents, and unsafe conditions immediately
Communication & Team Coordination
· Participate in daily meetings or shift briefings as required

Qualifications:
Required
· High school diploma or equivalent
· Valid forklift certification (or ability to obtain certification upon hire)
· Minimum of 2 years of warehouse experience
· Ability to operate material handling equipment safely and efficiently
· Basic computer skills and familiarity with warehouse or inventory systems
· Ability to lift and move heavy materials and work in a physically demanding environment
Preferred
· Previous experience in dispatching or logistics coordination
· Experience with ERP/WMS systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, or similar)
· Experience in construction materials, manufacturing, or industrial environments
· Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
