Value Windows & Doors, Inc., a leading Windows & Doors manufacturer in the Southern California area is currently hiring a Truck Driver in Duarte, CA.
Summary :
The Truck Driver (Box Truck or Flatbed) is responsible for the safe, accurate, and timely transportation of windows, doors, IGU’s or materials to customer locations, construction sites and/or warehouses. This position ensures products are delivered damage-free while providing exceptional customer service and maintaining compliance with all DOT and company safety standards.
Essential Responsibilities:
1. Safely operate company box trucks and flatbed trucks.
2. Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
3. Load, secure, transport, and deliver windows, doors, and materials.
4. Verify delivery orders, quantities, and customer documentation.
5. Ensure products are properly strapped, blocked, and secured during transit.
6. Assist with loading and unloading materials at customer locations and job sites.
7. Obtain customer signatures and proof of delivery.
8. Follow delivery schedules and coordinate route changes with dispatch.
9. Maintain required delivery logs, inspection reports, and driver records.
10. Follow all DOT regulations, traffic laws, and company safety policies.
11. Inspect products for damage before loading and upon delivery.
12. Communicate professionally with customers, warehouse personnel, installers, and management.
13. Report vehicle maintenance concerns, accidents, delays, or damaged products.
14. Maintain a clean and organized delivery vehicle.
15. Other duties as need arises.
Experience Requirements:
1. Experience operating box trucks, flatbed trucks, or commercial delivery vehicles.
2. Knowledge of load securement and transportation safety practices.
3. Ability to read delivery manifests, shipping documents, and route information.
4. Strong customer service and communication skills.
5. Forklift experience preferred.
6. Knowledge of DOT regulations and vehicle inspections preferred.
7. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
8. Ability to work independently and manage daily delivery schedules.
9. Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 100 pounds with assistance.
10. Strong teamwork and communication skills.
11. Customer-focused attitude.
12. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
13. Forklift experience preferred.
14. Reliable attendance and strong safety mindset.
Training & Education:
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
