Job Summary:
A & J On Time Transportation LLC is seeking a dependable and hardworking Loader/Unloader to join our logistics operations team. This role is responsible for safely loading, unloading, sorting, and moving freight within warehouse and transportation facilities. The ideal candidate is physically capable, detail-oriented, and committed to maintaining efficient cargo handling processes that support on-time deliveries.
Key Responsibilities:
- Load and unload freight from trucks, trailers, and containers.
- Verify shipment quantities and inspect cargo for damage.
- Sort, organize, and stage freight according to delivery routes and warehouse procedures.
- Operate pallet jacks and other material-handling equipment safely.
- Secure cargo to prevent damage during transportation.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Follow company safety policies and OSHA guidelines.
- Assist warehouse and logistics staff with inventory movement and shipment preparation.
- Report damaged goods, shortages, or discrepancies to supervisors.
- Meet productivity and quality standards while working in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous warehouse, logistics, or freight handling experience is an advantage.
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs regularly.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
- Basic understanding of warehouse safety procedures.
Pay: $18.50 - $22.00 per hour
