About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Framing Foreman / Crew Lead for an exterior reconstruction project in the South Bay Area involving exterior wood-framed structures, stairs, elevated structures, and related structural components.
This is primarily a field leadership and crew management position, approximately 80% crew management and 20% hands-on carpentry.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage framing and carpentry crews throughout daily construction activities.
- Coordinate manpower, daily assignments, work sequencing, and production goals.
- Oversee reconstruction of exterior and elevated structures.
- Direct structural wood framing, including joists, beams, rim joists, posts, blocking, and sheathing.
- Oversee all aspects of stair framing, construction, assembly, and installation.
- Read and execute work from structural plans, specifications, and construction details.
- Maintain safe and functional temporary resident access and egress.
- Enforce OSHA requirements and maintain a safe, clean, and organized jobsite.
- Coordinate field activities with project management, other trades, inspectors, vendors, and suppliers.
- Identify field conditions, production challenges, and material needs before they impact the schedule.
- Demonstrate strong familiarity with stair framing, custom design, and assembly.
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of professional framing or carpentry experience preferred.
- Previous experience leading or supervising framing and carpentry crews.
- Strong background in structural wood framing and exterior reconstruction.
Pay: $28.79 - $34.68 per hour
