Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Machinist 1 to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will machine variety of fluid processing product components in accordance with part drawings and CAD models, company specifications, and verbal instruction in Tate Andale’s vertically integrated ISO 9001 manufacturing facility. Fluid processing products include simplex and duplex strainers, pressure control valves, heat exchangers, manifolds, vents, scupper valves, self-cleaning strainers, and diverter valves.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Ability to use basic hand tools and precision measuring instruments
- Experience operating conventional or CNC machine tools such as lathes, vertical mills, horizontal mills, and grinders
- Acute attention to detail
- Aptitude for learning new things
- Understand feed rates/speeds, basic milling and turning operations
- Ability to comprehend mechanical part drawings
- Competent in basic math
- Productive time management
- Must be able to stand for shift duration
- U.S. Citizenship required
Preferred Qualification
- Experience with CNC turning centers
Responsibilities
- Develop understanding of Tate Andale production parts
- Run CNC turning and milling centers to produce unique parts from various materials including, Naval Brass, Bronze, Stainless Steel, Monel, Ductile Iron, Cast Iron, and Steel
- Monitor and verify quality throughout the machining process using calibrated metrology tools
- Collaborate with senior machinists, technicians, and quality personnel to refine processes and resolve manufacturing challenges
- Learn to program using GibbsCAM, Fagor, and Fanuc controls
- Must maintain good housekeeping and safety standards

Pay: $18.00 - $29.00 per hour
