We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical accounting professional to join our team. This role is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records for a portfolio of properties while delivering timely financial reporting and exceptional service to property owners and internal stakeholders.
The position plays a critical role in solving accounting challenges, maintaining organized financial records, and assisting in the month-end close process.

You'll Love Coming to Work Each Day If You Get, Want, and Have the Capacity To:
- Prepare accurate monthly financial reports for properties.
- Complete month-end accounting procedures, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statement review.
- Maintain the integrity of the general ledger and ensure transactions are recorded accurately and consistently.
- Calculate and process owner distributions in accordance with management agreements and available cash flow.
- Manage recurring property obligations, including mortgage payments, insurance premiums, tax escrows, and other scheduled disbursements.
- Monitor operating cash balances and assist with cash management across multiple properties and company accounts.
- Reconcile bank accounts and credit card accounts on a timely basis.
- Assist with annual budgeting, financial forecasting, audits, and special accounting projects.
- Research and resolve accounting discrepancies while providing financial support to property managers, owners, and leadership.
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, controls, and reporting efficiency.
You'll Be Successful in This Role If You Have:
- 3+years of accounting experience.
- Experience in property management, real estate, or multi-entity accounting is preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Working knowledge of property management accounting systems such as AppFolio, Yardi, Entrata, CYMA, or similar software.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial statements, and account reconciliation processes.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent organizational skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize competing deadlines and manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with clients, vendors, and team members.
