We are seeking a detail-oriented Medical Biller to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for submitting medical claims to insurance companies and ensuring timely reimbursement.
## Responsibilities
- Utilize medical records systems to accurately submit claims
- Handle medical collections and follow up on outstanding accounts
- Maintain knowledge of medical coding such as DRG, ICD-9, and ICD-10
- Process billing for medical services rendered
- Communicate with medical offices to obtain necessary information
- Verify patients' insurance coverage and eligibility
- Utilize medical terminology in coding procedures
## Experience
- Previous experience in a medical office setting preferred
- Proficiency in medical billing software and systems
- Knowledge of medical coding standards and practices
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
