Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with their selections in a friendly, professional manner
- Prepare and serve a variety of deli items, including sandwiches, salads, and ready-to-eat foods, adhering to food safety and sanitation standards
- Operate POS systems such as Clover POS and GoDaddy POS accurately for transactions, including card processing
- Upsell products by recommending complementary items to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front-of-house area, including food displays, counters, and seating areas
- Manage food inventory levels, restock items as needed, and ensure proper food handling procedures are followed
- Assist with bussing tables and maintaining a tidy dining environment to promote a positive customer experience
Skills
- Proven experience in food service or quick service & fast food restaurant environments with a focus on front-of-house operations
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques and food safety regulations
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for efficient transactions
- Ability to perform basic math for cash handling, retail math, and order calculations
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during busy periods
- Experience in upselling and sales techniques to maximize revenue opportunities
- Basic kitchen experience or culinary background preferred for better food prep understanding
- Commitment to sanitation standards including proper food handling, cleaning, and hygiene practices
- Ability to work quickly in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
