Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Pool Technician to join our team, willing to train the right person. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining and servicing residential swimming pools, ensuring they are clean, safe, and functioning properly. This role requires a strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while delivering exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine pool cleaning and maintenance tasks, including skimming debris, vacuuming, and brushing pool surfaces.
- Utilize power tools and hand tools effectively to conduct repairs and maintenance on pool equipment.
- Conduct inspections of pool systems to identify issues or required repairs, ensuring all equipment is in optimal working condition.
- Maintain accurate records of service performed on each pool, including chemical balances and equipment repairs.
- Provide excellent customer service by answering client questions and offering advice on pool care and maintenance.
- Adhere to safety protocols while working with chemicals and operating equipment in various environments.
Skills
- Proficient in pool cleaning techniques and equipment operation.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot and repair pool systems effectively.
- Experience as a service technician is preferred but not mandatory.
- Familiarity with both hand tools and power tools used in maintenance tasks.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with clients and understanding their needs.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team while managing time efficiently.
