American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Pediatric Cardiovascular ICU (CVICU) position requiring at least one year of CVICU experience in a Level I trauma setting.

Position is located in a hospital-based Pediatric Cardiovascular ICU (Cardio PICU)

Day shift schedule, 8 hours per day, 5 days per week, 40 hours per week

13-week contract assignment

Active RN license (standard Oklahoma or eNLC compact) currently in hand

Current BLS and PALS certifications from the American Heart Association required

Minimum of one year of CVICU nursing experience required

CVICU experience in a Level I trauma setting required

Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited program required; BSN preferred

Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Responsibilities include assuming care for an assigned patient group, monitoring physiological data, administering medications, managing IV infusions and blood products, and collaborating with physicians

Interacts with patients and families to communicate care plans and hospital procedures throughout the stay and at discharge

Delegates tasks to support staff as appropriate

Candidates who have previously worked at this facility must have a 6-month separation period before being eligible for a new contract (prior travelers may only extend once, for a total of 26 weeks)

Compliance with onboarding requirements (drug screening, background checks, medical requirements) must begin immediately upon acceptance of an offer — start dates will not be adjusted for non-compliance
