River City Psychiatry is a growing outpatient mental health practice dedicated to providing compassionate, high-quality care to children, adolescents, and adults. As our Front Desk Receptionist, you'll be the first smile patients see and the first voice they hear. Your kindness, professionalism, and organization will help set the tone for every patient's experience.
What You'll Do
- Welcome every patient with warmth, professionalism, and a genuine smile.
- Answer incoming phone calls with confidence and compassion.
- Schedule, reschedule, and confirm appointments.
- Check patients in and out efficiently.
- Verify and update patient demographics and insurance information.
- Collect copays and patient payments.
- Scan and upload documents into the electronic medical record.
- Process incoming and outgoing faxes.
- Assist with referrals and obtaining medical records.
- Help keep provider schedules organized and accurate.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming reception area.
- Complete daily opening and closing office procedures.
- Protect patient confidentiality by following HIPAA guidelines.
- Support providers and teammates with administrative tasks as needed.

Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous receptionist, medical office, or customer service experience preferred.
- Strong computer, communication, and organizational skills.
- Medical office or electronic health record experience is a plus.
- Ability to pass a background check and urine drug screen
- Medical experience is preferred but not required. We are happy to train the right person who has an outstanding attitude, excellent work ethic, and a heart for serving others.
