Shift: Various shifts from 5am-10pm, Possible occasional overnights

Job Summary:
As an Inventory Clerk, you will be responsible for the excellence and integrity of the inventory, companywide. You will be responsible for day-to-day operations by maintaining the placement and accuracy of all American Furniture Warehouse inventory. This is done by operating an order picker up to 34 feet in the air to scan products, conducting investigations, and more. In addition, you will coordinate and work with multiple departments, facilities, and managers to resolve inventory problems and will report all discrepancies to the Inventory Control Management team.

Compensation Package:
Pay rate: Hourly range from $17.71-$22 DOE
Supervision Given and Received:
This position has no supervisory responsibilities. This position is supervised directly by the Inventory Manager or Director.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Hands on experience with STORIS preferred.
Ability to operate an order picker up at 30+ feet high in the air.
Able to move product up to 200lbs.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
Ability to maintain a congenial calm communication style and the ability to diffuse and clarify the needs of drivers to achieve clear solutions.
Have strong independent follow up skills.
Excellent organizational skill and the ability to demonstrate attention to detail, and accuracy.

Computer Skills:
Ability to navigate multiple computer systems, advanced familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.), and advanced internet research skills are preferred. Ability to regularly use computers for ordering, communication, documentation, scheduling, and maintenance of organizational content on shared drives is required. Advanced knowledge of Excel is preferred as this job works heavily with tables and macros.
Certificates and Licenses:
Certifications and licenses related to business and safety are preferred.
Education and Experience:
Two-year college or university program degree preferred; High School diploma required; equivalent combination of education and experience accepted in lieu of degree.
Physical Demands:
Requires the ability to pass a company defined physical.
Requires the ability to maneuver in confined and at times congested areas.
Requires the ability to sit, stand, walk, stoop, & bend for 8 hours a day.
Requires constant use of arms, hands, fingers, eyes, legs, and back.
