We are seeking a dynamic and energetic Server to join our vibrant restaurant team! Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with seating arrangements, ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable, and relay orders promptly to the kitchen
- Provide knowledgeable recommendations and upsell menu items to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales opportunities
- Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of food safety, sanitation, and presentation
- Check in with guests throughout their meal to ensure satisfaction, address concerns promptly, and foster positive guest relations
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and cashiering duties, while maintaining accountability for all transactions
- Clear tables, bus tables as needed, and assist with general restaurant cleanliness to uphold sanitation standards
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation and delivery in a fast-paced environment
- Utilize reservation systems like OpenTable for managing bookings and optimizing seating efficiency
- Support other team members during busy periods by assisting with food prep or bussing when necessary
Requirements
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, preferably with fine dining or nightclub settings
- Strong knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or similar platforms; experience with OpenTable is a plus
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests positively and handle diverse situations professionally
- Demonstrated ability in upselling menu items to maximize sales opportunities while maintaining genuine guest interactions
- Culinary experience or background in food handling, food safety protocols, and sanitation standards is highly desirable
- Effective time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently during busy shifts
- Basic math skills for cash handling, billing accuracy, and order calculations
- Experience with food preparation or kitchen operations is advantageous but not required
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays in a lively environment such as a nightclub or restaurant setting
