We are searching for an experienced professional with over a decade immersed in managing projects within inpatient and ambulatory care settings. You'll play a crucial role in overseeing the development of architectural documents, collaborating with consultants from initial site surveys to the culmination of contract documents, and offer construction administration expertise. Candidates must be well-versed in NYC and NYS Building Codes, as well as regulations from DOB, DOH, NFPA, and FGI Guidelines. Exceptional organizational talents and meticulous attention to detail are pivotal for success in this position.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct reviews and analyses of building codes in collaboration with DOB and DOH.
- Showcase expertise in design software, including AutoCAD, Revit, and Bluebeam.
- Cultivate direct communication channels with clients and project consultants.
- Spearhead the creation of architectural drawings, from schematic design to construction documentation.
- Orchestrate the synchronization of architectural documents with external consultants.
- Evaluate, annotate, and refine architectural documentation.
- Address RFIs during the bidding phase handled by general contractors.
- Examine and process shop drawings and submittals during construction administration.
- Tackle RFIs during the construction stages.
- Engage in construction meetings and compose comprehensive field reports.
Requirements:
- Over 10 years of continuous experience in project documentation specific to ambulatory and inpatient environments.
- Outstanding verbal and interpersonal communication capabilities.
- Proficiency in design technologies including AutoCAD, Revit, and Bluebeam.
- Comprehensive knowledge and practical experience with NYC/NYS Building Codes, ADA compliance, NFPA 2012 healthcare regulations, and FGI 2018 Guidelines.
This is a full-time role based in our New York office, with opportunities for remote work once a week.
