Primary Function:
This entry level position will learn the basics in the fabrication, assembly, repair, and refurbishment of emergency vehicles such as ambulances, fire trucks and law enforcement units.
Key Responsibilities:

Assist with performing basic body repairs and modifications on new and in-service vehicles to meet stringent safety and quality standards.

Remove, repair and install body panels, fenders, bumpers and other structural components.

Conduct sanding, prepping, priming and painting using spray equipment.

Work with fiberglass, aluminum and steel materials.

Assist with fabrication and custom modifications as needed.

Follow all safety guidelines and maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Document all work completed and report any issues or delays to supervisor.

All other duties as assigned.
Requirements:

Basic knowledge of auto body repair, welding, and refinishing or the ability to learn

Familiarity with collision repair tools and equipment (grinders, sanders, spray guns, welders)

Attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship

Willingness to learn
Education & Experience:
High school diploma or GED and 1 year of work experience or equivalent experience.
Recent technical school graduate or completion of auto body or collision repair technical program preferred. I-CAR, ASE or EVT certification is a plus but not required.
