We’re not your typical optical practice.
Eyes on You is a boutique private optometry practice where exceptional patient care comes first. We’re looking for someone who enjoys learning, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is excited to wear multiple hats throughout the day.
One moment you may be helping a patient choose the perfect frame, the next you’ll be assisting the doctor during an exam, explaining insurance benefits, troubleshooting a vision concern, coordinating specialty contact lenses, or helping keep the office running smoothly.
If you enjoy solving problems rather than performing the same routine every day, you’ll fit right in.
This position is for someone who:
- Loves helping people and building genuine relationships
- Learns new concepts quickly
- Is naturally curious and enjoys understanding how things work
- Can explain complex information in a simple, confident way
- Has strong sales skills without being pushy
- Is organized and detail-oriented
- Takes initiative instead of waiting to be told what to do
- Enjoys variety and doesn’t mind switching between clinical, administrative, and optical responsibilities
- Thinks critically and enjoys solving problems
What you’ll do
Every day is a little different. Responsibilities include:
- Welcome patients and create an exceptional experience from check-in to check-out
- Assist the doctor during patient exams, including preparing patients, documenting information, performing preliminary testing, and ensuring efficient patient flow
- Schedule appointments, answer phones, and manage front desk responsibilities
- Verify and explain vision and medical insurance benefits
- Assist patients in selecting eyewear that fits their lifestyle, prescription, and budget
- Educate patients on lenses, coatings, contact lenses, and other vision solutions
- Troubleshoot eyewear concerns and provide exceptional after-sale service
- Coordinate orders with optical laboratories and vendors
- Learn about eye health, vision correction, and new optical technology to confidently educate patients
- Help maintain an organized, efficient, and welcoming office environment
- Work closely with the team to solve problems and continually improve the patient experience
Experience
Optical experience is preferred but not required for the right candidate.
A strong background in consultative sales, customer service, hospitality, or another client-focused profession is highly valued. We can teach optics. We can’t teach curiosity, work ethic, or a positive attitude.
We think you’ll succeed here if you…
- Enjoy learning something new every day.
- Like being challenged.
- Appreciate working with a small, supportive team.
- Take pride in getting the details right.
- Want a career instead of “just a job.”
Compensation is based on experience.
