Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech Language Pathologist to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in speech therapy and a passion for helping individuals improve their communication skills. This role involves working with patients of various ages, particularly focusing on pediatrics, to assess, diagnose, and treat speech and language disorders. The Speech Language Pathologist will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for patients through effective therapeutic interventions.
Duties
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' speech and language abilities.
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient evaluations and needs.
- Implement therapeutic interventions to improve communication skills, including articulation, fluency, and language processing.
- Collaborate with families, educators, and other healthcare professionals to support patient progress.
- Provide early intervention services for children with speech and language delays.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress and treatment outcomes.
- Stay updated with the latest research and best practices in speech therapy.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Valid state licensure or certification as a Speech Language Pathologist.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology related to speech therapy.
- Experience or knowledge in early intervention strategies is preferred.
- Proficiency in patient assessment techniques and treatment planning.
- Familiarity with anatomy and physiology related to speech production.
- Experience working in school settings is a plus, particularly with pediatric populations.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
