Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Machinist to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will operate and maintain a variety of precision machining equipment to produce high-quality components. Your expertise in CNC programming, blueprint reading, and mechanical knowledge will be essential to ensure that all parts meet exact specifications and quality standards.
Duties
- Working from verbal instructions, manufacturers manuals, blueprints and assembly drawings, wiring diagrams, identify and locate machine or equipment malfunctions and determines type and need for adjustment, repair and/or replacement of components, attachments, or accessories
- Disassemble unit and obtain machine replacement for damaged components and, as necessary, drill tap, ream, bore, counterbore, rout, grind, countersink, polish, cut deburr, spot weld, braze, silver solder or solder to fabricate, adapt or modify unit.
- Perform diversified assembly and installation operations necessary to adjust, align, fit and install details, tools and fixtures, guards, covers and required hardware, recognizing discrepant conditions and effecting remedial action to correct.
- As scheduled, perform prescribed prevention maintenance of machine and equipment, checking operation and adjusting as necessary.
- Follows prescribed safety rules and regulations, move and store materials, as necessary, maintain required records, detect, identify, report, and recommend resolution of operating difficulties, material defects or shortages, improper machine equipment operation to supervisor.
- Use precision measuring instruments including calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines to verify part dimensions.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent, preferred.
- Must have three (3) to five (5) years of prior machine experience.
- Strong understanding of blueprint reading, GD&T principles, and mechanical drawings.
- Knowledge of electrical discharge machining (EDM), plastics injection molding processes, welding, and assembly techniques is desirable.
- Ability to use precision measurement tools including calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines accurately.
- Mechanical aptitude with a solid understanding of manufacturing processes and tooling setup.
- Advanced knowledge of welding, required.
- Basic math skills for calculating dimensions, tolerances, and machining parameters.

Pay: $25.00 - $27.00 per hour
