Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Environmental Specialist to join our team. This role is essential in maintaining a clean, safe, and healthy environment within our facility. The Environmental Housekeeper will be responsible for ensuring that all areas are clean and sanitized. This position requires a strong commitment to cleanliness and an understanding of custodial practices. Must have strong inter-personal skills.
**This is a full time position under Sodexo for Sisters of Mercy.
Monday-Friday, 7:30am-4pm.
Responsibilities
- Sanitatize and maintain cleanliness in your assigned area.
- Perform custodial duties including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and emptying trash.
- Utilize appropriate cleaning agents and equipment safely.
- Monitor inventory levels of cleaning supplies and report needs for replenishment.
- Collaborate with other staff members to ensure all environmental services meet the operational needs of the facility.
- Conduct regular inspections of cleaned areas to ensure quality standards are met.
Experience
- Previous experience in environmental services or custodial roles preferred.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
This is a physical job that requires bending, lifting up to 40 lbs, and general activity.
