OBJECTIVE: Responsible for performing a variety of warehouse-related duties such as receiving and storage of goods, preparing orders for shipment by picking items from shelves. Employee must ensure that orders are filled accurately and efficiently, continually striving for improved customer satisfaction. May do many different duties such as picking bottles, assembling boxes, loading trucks, pulling kegs from a temperature control keg room, pulling cigars, and replenishing product for the modules. May work with leads on one or more job groups within the Warehouse. Needs to take initiative in the absence of Supervisors/management.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- The warehouse is an automated warehouse, team members must be able to utilize the functions of the warehouse management system in order to perform daily tasks.
- Responsible to assist all team members in areas of order filling, receiving, stocking, and returns based on shift assignment. May pull emergency orders and assist in palletizing orders for loading
- Continues to perform as an individual contributor completing any tasks given with considerable judgment, independent analysis and decision making and detailed knowledge of the position and procedures.
- Know the ins and outs of all SOPs and performs them as listed.
- As Warehouse Associate, you will perform assigned task as described in the location’s policies and procedures standards to include handling of material within associated logical transactions. Always responsible for the unexpected daily workloads.
- Assists with inventory procedures as requested by management.
- Maintains a clean work area to help ensure that merchandise remains clean and to help prevent work related injuries.
- Complies with all appropriate policies, procedures, safety rules and OSHA regulations.
- Must be able to work overtime when necessary and participate in physical inventory.
- Provides any feedback to Leads and Management that can help the organization.
- Makes recommendations on process flow and efficiencies.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum HS diploma or equivalent
- Ability to read and understand the English language for the purpose of comparing and reading product descriptions, names and shelf labels.
- Must possess basic mathematical skills for inventory counting purposes.
- Strong interpersonal skills; ability to develop and maintain cooperative working relationships with all employees, supervisors, and management.
- Strong organizational skills; attention to detail.
- Ability to use good judgment in order to carry out detailed instructions.
- Basic computer and RF Device knowledge required.
- Applicants should be proficient on all battery powered equipment. IE, Cherry Picker, Reach Truck, Stand-Up Forklifts, and Pallet Jack
- Ability to bend over and lift 50-60 pounds unassisted
