FaroVida Behavioral Health is building a modern outpatient behavioral health practice focused on making high-quality psychiatric and mental health care more accessible throughout Massachusetts.
We are seeking a Massachusetts-licensed Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to provide outpatient psychiatric care through telehealth on a flexible, part-time basis.
This opportunity is designed for an experienced PMHNP who wants to add patients to an existing schedule without having to build or market their own private practice.
We provide the patients. You provide the care.
FaroVida invests in patient acquisition, referral development, scheduling, billing, credentialing support, technology, and administrative infrastructure so our clinicians can focus primarily on clinical care.
This is an excellent opportunity for a PMHNP who currently works elsewhere and would like to gradually build an additional patient panel with the ability to expand their schedule as demand grows.
What You'll Do
- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations via telehealth
- Diagnose and treat adult behavioral health conditions
- Develop individualized treatment plans
- Provide psychiatric medication management
- Prescribe medications when clinically appropriate
- Monitor treatment effectiveness, side effects, and patient progress
- Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation
- Coordinate care with therapists, primary care providers, and other healthcare professionals when appropriate
- Participate in collaborative clinical discussions as needed
- Practice independently within applicable Massachusetts law, professional standards, and organizational policies
Patient Population
FaroVida initially serves adults 18+ seeking outpatient behavioral healthcare.
Common presenting conditions may include:
- Anxiety disorders
- Depression
- ADHD
- PTSD and trauma-related disorders
- OCD
- Bipolar disorder
- Mood disorders
- Sleep-related psychiatric concerns
- Co-occurring behavioral health conditions
- Substance use disorders when appropriate for the provider's experience and scope of practice

QualificationsRequired
- Active Massachusetts APRN license
- Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) certification
- Active and unrestricted RN/APRN licensure as required
- Current DEA registration if prescribing controlled substances
- Ability to provide telehealth services to patients located in Massachusetts
- Strong clinical judgment and communication skills
- Commitment to evidence-based, ethical, patient-centered care
- Ability to maintain timely clinical documentation
Preferred
- 2+ years of psychiatric prescribing experience
- Outpatient psychiatric experience
- Telehealth experience
- Experience treating adults with common psychiatric conditions
- Experience collaborating with therapists and other behavioral health professionals
- Interest in helping build a growing behavioral health practice
Compensation
Fee-for-service compensation based on completed patient visits.
Compensation structure and reimbursement rates will be discussed transparently during the interview process and will vary based on visit type and responsibilities.

FaroVida manages the administrative infrastructure of the practice, including patient scheduling, billing, collections, and related operational functions.
Will I have clinical autonomy?
Yes.
Clinical judgment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and prescribing decisions remain the responsibility of appropriately licensed clinicians.
