We are looking for a warm, versatile, and dependable educator to support a consistent group of students throughout the 2026–2027 school year, starting the first week of August. This position offers the opportunity to build meaningful relationships with families and work with the same students on a weekly basis in a highly personalized setting.
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced tutor who is comfortable supporting students across a wide variety of grade levels and subject areas through personalized, in-home tutoring sessions. Current student needs range from Kinder through 5th grade. We specifically need someone with experience in both early reading instruction and comfortable supporting with math homework as well.
The ideal candidate must be able to confidently and effectively teach both math and reading across all elementary school levels. In addition to subject-specific instruction, the tutor should feel comfortable providing broader academic support and executive functioning coaching as needed.
Student support may include:

This role is ideal for a well-rounded educator who enjoys forming long-term relationships with students and can adapt instruction based on individual learning styles and academic needs.
The ideal candidate will be available to begin working with students during the first week of August and will continue consistently throughout the 2026–2027 school year.
Tutors in this role will work with the same consistent group of students each week, with most sessions taking place Monday–Thursday between approximately 3:15 PM–6:30/7:00 PM. Students all live within close proximity to each other, so tutor will drive to each home to provide services.

Qualifications
✔ Teaching or tutoring experience with students in grades K-5
✔ Strong ability to teach both math and reading across multiple grade levels
✔ Bachelor’s degree in Education is required
✔ Strong communication and organizational skills
✔ Warm, patient, and engaging teaching style
✔ Reliable transportation and ability to commute to students’ homes in the Paradise Valley/Scottsdale area
✔ Professionalism, consistency, and reliability are essential
✔ Willingness to commit through at least the 2026–2027 school year
Schedule & Compensation
Job Type: Part-time, Independent Contractor
Pay: Up to $50.00 per hour
Expected Hours: Approximately 1-5 hours per week
Schedule: Primarily after-school and early evening hours Monday–Thursday; some flexibility preferred
