Job Title: IT Specialist/Manager
As an IT Specialist/Manager with our company, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining all aspects of the company's information technology infrastructure. Your primary goal will be to ensure the smooth and efficient functioning of our technology systems, enabling our workforce to maximize productivity and efficiency. This role requires a strong understanding of IT operations, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with various departments within the organization.
Responsibilities:
Infrastructure Management:
- Oversee the installation, configuration, and maintenance of the company's hardware and software systems, including servers, workstations, laptops, phones, tablets and peripherals.
- Monitor the performance of the IT infrastructure, identify and address any issues promptly, and implement improvements to optimize efficiency and reliability.
Network and Security:
- Manage the company's local area network (LAN) and wide area network (WAN) to ensure seamless connectivity and data transmission between different locations and departments.
- Implement and maintain robust cybersecurity measures to protect the company's sensitive data, networks, and systems from potential threats.
Software and Application Management:
- Coordinate the procurement, deployment, and maintenance of various software applications required by different departments.
- Provide technical support to employees for software-related issues, and ensure all software licenses are up-to-date and compliant.
Help Desk Support:
- Establish and manage an efficient help desk system to address IT-related queries, incidents, and service requests from employees.
- Ensure timely resolution of IT support tickets, maintaining high levels of satisfaction.
Data Management:
- Oversee data backup and recovery procedures to ensure data integrity and disaster recovery readiness.
- Implement data retention policies to comply with regulatory requirements and protect the company's information assets.
IT Strategy and Planning:
- Collaborate with senior management to develop and execute the company's IT strategy and roadmap.
- Identify opportunities for technology improvements and cost optimization to support the company's growth and business objectives.
Vendor Management:
- Interact with our external vendors and service provides and procure IT equipment
Training and Documentation:
- Conduct training sessions for employees to enhance their IT skills and promote cybersecurity awareness.
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for IT systems, processes, and procedures.
Requirements:
- Proven experience (3-5 years) in IT management, preferably in a similar-sized organization.
- Strong knowledge of network infrastructure, cybersecurity, and data management best practices.
- Proficiency in various operating systems, software applications, and hardware components.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to handle complex technical issues.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with employees at all levels.
- Ability to work under pressure and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $30.00 - $38.00 per hour
