HR & Office Administrator

Pay: $70,000–$90,000 per year (based on experience)
About the Role
We are seeking a highly organized and professional HR & Office Administrator to oversee our Human Resources functions while ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of our corporate office. This is a hands-on position for someone who enjoys working with people, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is comfortable balancing HR responsibilities with administrative and front office support.
The ideal candidate has experience serving as the primary HR professional for a company with 50–100 employees and is confident managing employee relations, compliance, recruiting, and office administration.
Responsibilities:
Human Resources
- Manage the full employee lifecycle, including recruiting, onboarding, orientation, and offboarding.
- Maintain employee personnel files and HR records while ensuring confidentiality.
- Coordinate payroll processing, employee benefits, PTO, and leave administration.
- Assist with employee relations, performance management, disciplinary documentation, and investigations.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
- Maintain and update HR policies, procedures, and the employee handbook.
- Coordinate employee training and new hire orientation.
- Prepare HR reports and maintain accurate employment records.
- Support leadership with HR initiatives and special projects.
Office Administration
- Answer and direct all incoming phone calls in a professional and courteous manner.
- Manage incoming and outgoing mail, packages, and deliveries.
- Schedule meetings, assist with calendars, and coordinate travel arrangements when needed.
- Prepare correspondence, reports, and other administrative documents.
- Maintain an organized, professional, and efficient office environment.
- Provide administrative support to executive leadership as needed.
QualificationsRequired
- 5+ years of Human Resources experience.
- Experience serving as the primary HR professional for a company with approximately 50–100 employees.
- Experience with recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, payroll coordination, benefits administration, and HR compliance.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and customer service skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and HRIS/payroll systems.
- Professional demeanor with the ability to handle confidential information.
Preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience supporting employees in multiple states.
- SHRM-CP, PHR, or similar HR certification.
- Experience working in a growing small to mid-sized business.
