Position Summary
Amplity is seeking a Senior Paralegal & Director of Legal Operations to support the Legal and Compliance function across customer contracting, vendor contracting, corporate governance, data privacy, and legal operations. This role will work closely with the General Counsel & Chief Compliance Officer, business stakeholders, and external partners to manage contract workflows, maintain corporate records, support privacy and compliance initiatives, and improve legal department processes.
The ideal candidate is a highly experienced paralegal or legal operations professional with deep contracting experience, strong judgment, and a practical, business-oriented approach. Experience in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, life sciences, or pharmaceutical services industry is strongly preferred.

Support the review, negotiation, execution, and administration of customer and vendor agreements, including MSAs, SOWs, amendments, NDAs, consulting agreements, and other commercial contracts.

Manage contract intake, workflow, approvals, signatures, records, renewals, and related contract lifecycle management processes.

Partner with business teams to identify contracting issues, escalate legal and compliance risks, and drive contracts to timely completion.

Maintain and improve contract templates, playbooks, clause libraries, approval matrices, and related legal operations materials.

Support corporate governance matters, including entity management, board and committee materials, written consents, officer and director records, annual filings, registered agent coordination, and corporate recordkeeping.

Assist with data privacy matters, including privacy contract terms, data processing agreements, vendor privacy reviews, privacy documentation, data subject request support, and coordination with business and technology teams.

Support compliance-sensitive legal work involving pharmaceutical services, healthcare data, privacy, anti-kickback, transparency, and related regulatory considerations.

Maintain organized legal records and matter files, including contracts, governance materials, policies, privacy documentation, and compliance-related records.

Coordinate with outside counsel, vendors, auditors, and internal stakeholders on legal, governance, privacy, and contracting matters.

Identify opportunities to improve legal department processes, reporting, technology use, templates, and operational efficiency.

Support implementation and administration of legal technology tools, including contract management systems, Microsoft Suite tools, Salesforce-related workflows, and other legal operations platforms.

Prepare status reports, dashboards, trackers, and summaries for Legal, Compliance, Finance, Sales, and senior leadership.

Paralegal certificate, bachelor’s degree, or equivalent legal operations experience.

10 to 15 years of relevant paralegal, contracts, legal operations, or in-house legal department experience, at least 5 years of which is in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, life sciences, healthcare, or pharmaceutical services industry.

Significant experience supporting customer and vendor contracting in a business-facing legal environment.

Strong understanding of contract lifecycle processes, legal operations workflows, corporate governance support, and privacy-related contract issues.

Experience working with and setting up contract management systems; proficient in Microsoft Office, Agentic AI, and Salesforce.

Excellent drafting, proofreading, organizational, and project management skills.

Sound judgment, strong attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Ability to work independently, escalate appropriately, and communicate clearly with legal, compliance, commercial, finance, and operations stakeholders.

Professional discretion and ability to handle confidential, sensitive, and privileged information.

Experience with data privacy, data protection agreements, HIPAA-related contracting, GDPR, CCPA, or healthcare data workflows.

Experience supporting board, subsidiary, or corporate governance processes.

Experience improving legal department processes, templates, metrics, or technology adoption.
