Responsibilities
- Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system accurately to process sales, returns, and exchanges
- Provide friendly and professional customer service, addressing inquiries via phone and in person with excellent phone etiquette
- Assist customers with product demos, explaining features and benefits to enhance their shopping experience
- Upsell relevant products and accessories to meet customer needs and maximize sales opportunities
- Maintain merchandising standards by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring products are attractively presented
- Manage inventory by stocking shelves regularly and conducting stock counts to ensure product availability
- Handle cash transactions responsibly, including cash handling, balancing registers, and performing basic retail math calculations
Requirements
- Previous experience in retail sales or cashiering is preferred; supervisory experience is a plus for leadership opportunities
- Familiarity with POS systems and cash handling procedures
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage customers effectively
- Bilingual abilities are advantageous for serving diverse customer bases
- Experience in grocery stores or similar retail environments is beneficial
- Ability to perform basic math calculations accurately for register balancing and pricing adjustments
- Demonstrated customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor
- Knowledge of merchandising, stocking, and retail math practices to support store operations
