Join our facilities team as a Custodian/Maintenance Worker and play a vital role in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for Calvary Christian School. Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of floors, restrooms, offices, and common areas using commercial cleaning equipment such as floor buffers and scrubbers
- Handle chemical agents safely during cleaning and sanitation processes, following all chemical handling safety procedures
- Conduct routine maintenance tasks including light repairs, painting, changing lightbulbs, and general facility upkeep to ensure optimal operation of the premises
- Operate cleaning tools and machinery efficiently while practicing safe lifting practices and manual handling techniques
- Maintain cleanliness standards by performing janitorial duties such as trash removal, dusting, window washing, and surface sanitization
- Support industrial cleaning projects or specialized custodial tasks as needed to meet facility requirements
- Assist with inventory management of cleaning supplies and equipment to ensure readiness for daily operations
Requirements
- Must have a sincere and evident walk with Christ and believe in Jesus as their Lord and Savior.
- Proven custodial or janitorial experience with knowledge of commercial or industrial cleaning practices
- Ability to handle chemical agents safely by following proper procedures for chemical handling safety
- Experience operating cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, scrubbers, and vacuums.
- Strong manual handling skills with an understanding of safe lifting practices for heavy objects or equipment
- Excellent attention to detail with a focus on sanitation standards and safety protocol adherence
- Customer service and Christ-like mindset to interact professionally with faculty, students, and visitors
- Prior experience in facilities maintenance or general upkeep is preferred but not required; training will be provided for specific tasks

Pay: $33,113.00 per year
