Job Summary

Duties
- Measure and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately plan roofing installations.
- Prepare roofing surfaces by removing old materials and ensuring proper framing using carpentry, metal stud framing, or concrete forming techniques.
- Install metal roofing panels utilizing hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment with precision and safety.
- Seal joints and seams with caulking or trim carpentry methods to ensure watertight integrity.
- Perform heavy lifting of materials and equipment safely while adhering to safety protocols on construction sites.
- Conduct quality inspections during and after installation to verify adherence to specifications and standards.
- Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools, disposing of debris responsibly, and ensuring all safety measures are followed throughout the project.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of construction estimating to assess project scope and material requirements accurately.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment essential for roofing tasks.
- Experience in roofing installation, repair, or restoration projects with a focus on metal roofing systems.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings confidently.
- Familiarity with related construction disciplines such as carpentry, masonry, plumbing, welding, tile laying, stucco application, and framing carpentry.
- Knowledge of construction site safety practices and ability to work effectively in outdoor environments.
- Excellent physical strength for heavy lifting and working at heights; good hand-eye coordination for precise installation tasks.
- Prior handyman experience or experience in remodeling projects is a plus for versatility on-site.
