- Significant Growth Potential. The Aquatics Director position is a primarily outdoor, time flexible, team oriented, demanding position with a customer service based aspect that has a particular focus in safety of aquatic facilities. Aquatic Management Group encourages an environment of self motivation while requiring all staff to maintain a professional, positive attitude during all business related activities.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
1. Work under the general supervision of the VP of Operations and Director of Staff Operations.
2. Work within the Aquatic Management Group Employee Handbook at all times.
3. Using excellent customer service skills, establish and maintain effective working relationships with other AMG employees, officials and all associates of Aquatic Management Group.
4. Provide leadership and direction in the development of short and long range plans for assigned facilities.
5. Manage and supervise assigned operations to achieve goals within available resources.
6. Oversee the enforcement of safety rules and regulations at assigned facilities.
7. Oversee the general maintenance of assigned facilities during the off season.
8. Oversee the general maintenance and cleaning of assigned facilities during the pool season.
9. Oversee general repairs of assigned facilities during the appropriate season.
10. Assist in preseason inspection preparations of assigned facilities.
11. Assist in the shut down and winterization of all facilities.
12. Assist in developing course structure, marketing for courses, organizing course enrollments and instructing courses.
13. Assist in recruiting and hiring of seasonal staff.
14. Communicate daily with the Vice President of Operations to provide an update on assigned tasks and facilities.
15. Communicate daily with supervised staff to address facility related issues, ensure staff remain on task and ensure tasks are completed within a reasonable period of time.
16. Communicate with customers when directed by a supervisor.
17. Complete daily cleaning and maintenance of assigned facilities during the season.
18. Complete weekly cleaning and maintenance of assigned facilities during the off season.
19. Complete work orders and work summaries by the end of each work day.
20. Submit billing by the end of each work week.
21. Provide proper cleaning and care of all company property.
22. Ensure that assigned areas of responsibility are performed within budget.
23. Perform cost control activities.
24. Perform minor repairs to mechanical and chemical systems.
25. During the months of April – September be available to work weekdays, weekends, and holidays (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day).
26. During the months of October – March be available to work weekdays and on call one weekend per month.
27. Remain professional, ethical and honest at all times.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Positive attitude.
- Ability and desire to self start tasks.
- Strong communication skills both verbally and written.
- The ability to lift, move and handle objects weighing 50 lbs or less.
- Valid NC Driver’s License with safe driving history and mindset.
- Experience in managing aquatic personnel and facilities.
- Knowledge of pool chemistry and filtration systems.
- Computer literate. Proficiency in Google apps
CERTIFICATIONS REQUIRED UNLESS SPECIFIED: NSPF Certified Pool Operator Certification (Offered by Aquatic Management Group) Wake County Pool Operator Certification CPR/AED and First Aid Certification (Offered by Aquatic Management Group)

- American Red Cross Lifeguard Instructor Certification (Preferred)
