We are seeking a Commercial HVAC Estimator / Assistant Project Manager to support estimating and project coordination for commercial HVAC projects from bid through completion.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with commercial HVAC experience who wants to grow into estimating or project management. You will work with project managers, field teams, vendors, subcontractors, and customers while gaining experience across the entire commercial project process.

Opportunity to advance into greater estimating responsibility or a Commercial HVAC Project Manager role
Review commercial HVAC plans, specifications, and bid documents
Complete equipment, material, and labor takeoffs
Obtain vendor and subcontractor pricing and prepare project estimates
Identify equipment, ductwork, piping, controls, insulation, and other project requirements
Prepare proposals and identify scope gaps, exclusions, and potential project risks
Assist with equipment selection, value engineering, and purchasing
Prepare and track submittals, RFIs, change orders, and purchase orders
Monitor equipment lead times, deliveries, project costs, and schedules
Coordinate with project managers, field supervisors, vendors, subcontractors, and general contractors
Assist with material planning and project startup
Visit jobsites when needed to review project conditions and resolve coordination issues
Support projects through completion and closeout
Two or more years of commercial HVAC, mechanical contracting, estimating, project coordination, project management, or related experience preferred
Working knowledge of commercial HVAC equipment and installation practices
Ability to read mechanical plans, specifications, equipment schedules, and construction documents
Understanding of ductwork, refrigerant piping, hydronic piping, controls, insulation, and commercial HVAC systems
Commercial HVAC field experience is highly valued
Estimating, construction takeoff, or project coordination experience is preferred
Strong mathematical and analytical abilities
Excellent organization and attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple bids and projects while meeting deadlines
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and standard business software
Experience with HVAC estimating, takeoff, construction, or project management software is a plus
Valid driver's license and ability to travel locally when needed

You may already have estimating or project coordination experience, or you may be an experienced HVAC field professional looking to transition into the project management side of the industry.
Most importantly, you are organized, dependable, detail-oriented, and comfortable communicating with customers, contractors, vendors, and field teams.
This position provides hands-on exposure to commercial HVAC estimating, preconstruction, purchasing, project coordination, cost management, installation, and closeout.
The right candidate will have the opportunity to take on increased responsibility and develop toward a Commercial HVAC Project Manager or expanded estimating role.
