UNARMED SECURITY OFFICER — IMMEDIATE HIRE
Pacific River Security — Vigor Shipyard, Harbor Island, Seattle, WA
Pay: $24.00/hour
Pacific River Security is hiring Unarmed Security Officers to support a
federal maritime contract at Vigor Shipyard on Harbor Island. This is an
active industrial shipyard performing repair and maintenance work for U.S.
Navy and other government vessels. Officers perform entry control, patrol,
and access control duties on a hard-target, access-controlled federal
facility — not a commercial property post.
IMMEDIATE HIRE — READ BEFORE APPLYING
We are hiring for immediate start. "Immediate" means available to begin as
soon as you clear processing — not after a two-week notice period, not
after a scheduled vacation, not several weeks out. If you are not
available to start within days of being cleared, please do not apply to

SCHEDULE
- 12-hour rotating shifts: Day Shift 0600–1800 or Night Shift 1800–0600
- All posts are staffed 24/7 — reliable attendance and on-time relief are
essential
- Officers may occasionally be required to hold over until relief arrives
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Control access to a federal maritime facility and active shipyard
worksite
- Conduct regular patrols of assigned areas
- Report incidents accurately and promptly
- Interact professionally with employees, vendors, and visitors
- Resolve conflicts effectively using de-escalation techniques
- Operate two-way radios, surveillance systems, and access control
equipment
- Document activity and complete checkpoint scans via TrackTik
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS — NO EXCEPTIONS
- U.S. Citizenship. This is a hard federal contract requirement. You must
be able to provide a Passport, Passport Card, Enhanced WA ID/Driver
License, U.S. Birth Certificate, or Certificate of Naturalization.
Applicants who cannot produce one of these documents will be
disqualified — do not apply if you cannot meet this requirement.
- Active Washington State Unarmed Security Guard License that is NOT
EXPIRED as of your application date. An inactive card is acceptable; an
expired card is not. If your guard card has expired, you must renew it
before applying.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Able to pass a state and federal background check
- Available to start within days of clearing processing
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Prior security experience in access control, patrol, customer service,
warehouse, healthcare, or other regulated environments
- Strong report writing and communication skills
- Comfortable working independently and enforcing rules calmly
